Downloading World of Warcraft
After years of avoidance and hateful banter towards the game, I have been peer pressured into downloading World of Warcraft. The 3.89 GB fill will take a few hours to download. Which means that I have a few more hours of real life before my new WoW life begins.
My friend Morgan has been pestering me for 3 years to sign up. Slowly, I have been losing contact with him - as he descends deeper and deeper in to the abyss that is the Game.
As my friendship with Morgan started to diminish, I became closer to my friend Todd. Todd downloaded WoW a week ago.
So I am joining this Game in order to save my friends. I start here. Day 1. June 29th 2009. About 6 hours until my download is complete.

my old 80s' things
my old yellow Benetton t-shirt
i had to look down to see if there were two n's or two t's
my old orange Keds
i wore until the sole ran out
of my old walking shoes
i walked to school with sue
two blocks with two traffic lights
we escorted each other
in our fluorescent bicycle shorts
black and pink and
black and green
and our matching Micheal Jackson jacket's that we bought on St. Laurent

the night before Tokyo
the night before Tokyo
the moon would not go down
crying lightly by the window
coyotes howling for the sun
soft headlights in the distance
rising up above the fog
lighting dear and dust and recycling boxs
airport shuttle gliding to a stop
